Having sent my three initial concept designs to Miles we went through and decided upon which of each we liked and which parts we didn’t. Also to be taken into consideration at this time was whether to use Wordpress as a base to build the site.

I was recently approached by Miles Murphy, a video editor based in London, to create a complete start to finish website to showcase his portfolio of work. This posed a first chance for me to undertake a project from design through implementation with almost every aspect of the sites design and code left entirely up to me.

I have drawn up a basic design in Photoshop for a new theme for the site. Once again i have taken creative measures in naming this theme – “simple”.
My hope is to make this the ‘default’ theme for the website; it is clean, simple and uses all the familiar elements for a Wordpress blog. I will also reserve space under the header to display “alternative theme” screenshots for front-end users to browse and choose a theme which best suits them.
